To have the experience to the extent they can afford and then aiming to sell or pass on the fish. Some get it for bragging, which is a pretty bad reason. Maturity is scarce. I've not mastered it either.
But most people just don't think, don't do their homework. Irrelevant here as wels are a niche offering but since we are ruminating aloud and in general.
Probably in an analogous reasoning, people get houses, cars, and boats they can't afford or would lose at the slightest monetary misfortune, or want to win a lottery or get an insanely rich or attractive spouse, thinking it'll make them happy and thinking that, for sure, if anyone, they can handle it
Close to 100% of lottery winners report a miserable ending. Same with marrying money or looks.
