Albinoism in hybrids

Regardless if these are pure bred albino firemouths or of hybrid creation, they are pretty cool looking. To answer your question - it depends. From my understanding, there are different gene mutations that can cause albinism and if the two albino fish you breed together have the same mutation, then yes it could produce albino fry but even then it is hard to say with hybrids. If the two fish carry different broken genes for albinism then all the fry would likely just look like hybrids of the standard color of either parent fish.

Thanks for your input guys, I might grab a few and just pair them up til I can find another albino cichlid to experiment with but they are kind of pricy for me ATM ($30 for a 2.5"), decisions, decisions....
