Algae eater for african tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looking at your photos I don't see a problem, the tank looks great.
To me algae growing on things like logs, or rocks is desired.
One of my old tanks, where I believe it (algae helped reduce nutrient load).

But on slow growing plants like Anubius there is a delicate balance between light duration, getting enough for the plants, and nutrient load.
Below, An old Anubius I had, where I could never quite get the balance right.

Troll the planted forums and you should be able to find better info. I have not had bb in a long time.

That's myanubius atm, and the tops of my bolbitus, I'll reduce the lighting a bit and go from there I'm loving this tank almost as much as my cichlid tank. I'll be moving it into a 125 in a few months though bichirs are growing fast.

2 Senegal's a marbled, 3 ropes a leapord bushfish, african butterfly , school of african longfins and congos.

75 currently will move to a 125 and convert the 75 to a rainbow tank....or maybe a grow out for a fahaka
