Algae eater for brackish water...

I will chime in here. If you intend to keep water at around 1.003sg then plants certainly will help.
At any range snails will help, its almost impossible to tell if its a fw or brackish water nertie but either way they do ok in light brackish
if you keep your tank on the cooler side 75-77 degrees, then florida flagfish is a good option, they love algae.
try another molly, they can be hit or miss as algae eaters.

getting a sand sifter will help keep the clean tank and dimish algae (if water is changed regularly)
light brackish sifters are kribensis and horse faced loaches
light to heavy brackish sifter (I recommend them) the dragon gobies.

so basically dragon gobies and nerite snails for the win.
