Algae eater High pH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont think Plecos are good algae eaters for Tanganyika Lakes...

I've got BN's and a L104 (also a L190, but that won't work long term in a 55) that do fine with my Tangs. I don't add buffers of any sort since I have fairly hard tap water. If you do add salts and or buffers, the snails would be a better choice.

I think I'll go with the two plecos and some of the snails... Since I don't add anything like you and I also have hard tap water

Bristlenose Pleco and Flash Pleco, and I have a couple pieces of wood in there.

UPDATE: (If anyone is still watching this thread) I have obtained 3 Rabbit Snails which are quite an awesome little snail. In the next couple weeks I will finally be able to get some other algae eaters for the tank
