I have a 180 with
Odoe pike
Hujeta
Chalceus
Flagtail
4 bichir
Datnoid
The flagtail is getting aggressive towards the hujeta and odoe, so if I have to sell it, is there any other good algae eaters that would work? I don’t want any plecos since they’ll eat the slime off of the bichirs
Sell my current flagtail and try another?
Any ideas are appreciated

The best algae eaters I have used, that dont add to much bio-load and have many other benefits are Malaysian Trumpet Snails. Rabbit snails too

Thanks, I actually have a lot of MST in this tank, they didn’t seem to keep the algae under control and I had to wipe it off until I got the flagtail. I don’t have a lot of algae growth, I just don’t really like any on the glass at all

sorry to hear they aren't working for you, they always seemed to work me :)

Magnetic algae scraper is my favorite. Does better than any algae eater and produces no waste! Also, not having to stick your arm in the tank makes cleaning algae much less of a chore.

I use those when I can, but this is an acrylic tank with sand for substrate, a magnetic algae scraper probably won’t end well lol

XL apple snails? Used to have some before I had clown loaches and they ate 99% of the algae on my glass, all sides.
