I have used flagtails with smaller rays, they are great algae eaters but usually just clean the glass manually myself.

I had a flagtail for awhile and all he did was eat all the pellet food I put in lol. I would be afraid to put another flagtail in now that my bass are bigger.

I have had a stingray for about a month and had the same question. hes about 5- 51/2 inches in diameter. My girlfriends zebra pleco (2inches) is in there for about a week till she comes to get it and it hasnt bothered the stingray. However I moved a Farlowella cat (7inch) (really cool looking twing shape cat that has suction mouth as a pleco does) that kinda out grew my girls crowded 28 gallon "aqua cube thing" setup into my ray tank and hes been great in there. About 5 days so far. He looks good on the long wood piece in there and matches the rays colors very well. Pleco will be leaving soon as I said because I dont wanna worry....

Id be more worried about the ray eating the plec. If that happens, that would be one HELL of an expensive meal.

plecs and other suckermouth cats are a NO-NO because they suck the slime off the disk, causing the ray to be susceptible to fungus and bacteria

Ok so my filter died on my after owning it for a month, so for about 2 days i had no filter till i could go exchange it. The farlowella cat aparently sucke don the ray and left 3 rings on its side. I returned it to my girls thank and it grew faster than ever in only a week after being back... (wierd). So teh uestion is, is my ray scarred or will the rings go away? other than that seems health and eating well. Any advice?
