ELLO Fellow MFKers, I think this is hair algae but it looks small. The with of this picture is about 1.5 to 2 inches, so the "Hair" is about 1mm tall. Please excuse my horrid photo taking skillz.

What is it?

What will control it?

Thanks in advance! ~LiquiD~

I would have suggested BBA also but it is not black. Its very green!

Any other ideas?

I'd say BBA as well. It comes in a wide variety of colours. I've seen black, green, grey and fluorescent magenta.
As for controlling it. Usually, it means you have too much light and not enough CO2. Cut down the light or add CO2 and it should go away. Depending on how much light you have, you might get away with Floursih Excel.

Thanks, and I thought I was lacking light... I'm using a ZooMed 24" T5HO 2 bulb fixture on a 20High [16" deep]

I guess that's enough for my tank. I will step up the Co2 a bit and also i'll put it on a different timer so the Co2 starts an hour before the lights go on.

Thanks for all your help!
