Is it green or brown algae?

Both thrive on nitrates...especially brown so make sure they are in check. Green algae likes alot of light so limit the time the light is on to when you are there to enjoy the tank if you are not growing plants.

Green algae actually isnt too bad as it cleans the water a bit.

haha i tried a 5" Lasiancistrurs in with my Leo's and they ate it in seconds, fastest £10 ive ever spent.
