I have used it in the past, and still will use it occasionally if the alge condition warrents. My tank is non planted and would not reccomend it if your tank has live plants. I also do not use it all the time since I feel as others do that a good balanced tank is the best treatment.

Went and checked it out yes its basicly a nitrAte and phosphate absorber just as fast growing plants would absorb the same compounds thus outcompeting the algae
it should be fine to use-Anne

sweet im running it again. Gotta love a nitrate phosphate sponge I have never owned an aquatic plant
