Sorry about the cheesy movie reference, but I just got home from work and found one of my tiger barbs dead. After fishing him out, I noticed it's face was eaten all the way to the eyes. After looking over the other 3, I found out two of them seem to have bite wounds right on their mouths. So, between my Senegal Bichir, African Brown Knife and Ompock catfish, I have a face eater! I doubt the barbs did it to each other and the only other resident of the tank is a clown loach.

That is actually a very good possibility since the symptoms and some pictures I saw seem to match up. Any ideas on what I should do? I added a group of 4 tiger barbs about a week ago to relieve some stress off my clown loach. Unfortunately, for the first time, I did not have a quarantine tank set-up and they went straight in with everyone else. I'm gonna do a water change right now and read up some more on the disease.

I'll do that, thank you. How's a mix of melafix and pimafix along with a dose of maracyn plus? I already moved the two tiger barbs that showed symptoms to a small bowl with air stones. Will have to remove fixtures to see if the other guys are affected. One tiger barb and my clown loach seem unaffected so far.
