ALL HAIL! THE KING! (King Arowana)

For those who have not yet seen a King Arowana, this pic is from Awakening of the Dragon Book. This king arowana is owned by Mr. Winston Hoo of Singapore. And is said to be two years old when pic was taken. Like most super reds, it takes time to develop full red coloration, this king from the green-based super red variety. But as you can see, it's getting there and is a robust and healthy fish. King Arowanas are valued coz of the splendid spoon-head exhibited by the fish, which gives them the title "king"

Thanks for the info. Didn't know what they were called. Are they more expensive than the normal red aro?

definitely more expensive. theyre very rare, i dont know the exact percentage of fry that turn out to be "kings" but theyre considered to be like unicorns, mythical. people consider these fishes as prime investments in some asian countries, like vintage automobiles

Just my opinion but I don't like the looks of the hump behind the head. Looks like it was grown up at a nuclear power plant lake or something.
