so this is just a thought in my mind nothing is set in stone ..but could a 135 gallon house a all male tank of 1 red devil 1 trimac 1 midevil and 2 convicts? I searched through the forums but really couldn't find a answer. i realize that this would be overstocked but has anyone tried something like this and had success ?

All of these minus the cons get to a stout size brother. Juvi to sub adult would work with plenty of sight breaks and what not. But once past that say 7-9 inch mark especially with the trimac some aggro things will start peeking around the corner causing some gladiator fish wars.

well that sucks I just really torn on what to do i can't keep letting my pair spawn and have nothing do with the fry . i was hoping someone would say it could work, but i understand these guys are crazy fish. I really wanna keep a trimac yours is just gorgeous man and i wanna get a true red devil as well .

How big is your tank ? I really wanna try it at least .with me getting rid of all my fry and moving my female to a 55 solo I wanna get a trimac and red devil from Rapps I sold my Africans and prob gonna sell my two convicts that are full grown if they don't work out

Is it possible? Absolutely!!! Now is it right to put that many large fish in a tank that small with a high likelihood of aggression issues?? Why risk it? Thats the real decision. Will the fish be happy in that size tank with little space?

These threads are posted for people to hear what they want to justify a questionable move they want to make. Right along with the minimum tank size questions.

They are your fish in your tank. Do what you want with them.
