Is it possible? Absolutely!!! Now is it right to put that many large fish in a tank that small with a high likelihood of aggression issues?? Why risk it? Thats the real decision. Will the fish be happy in that size tank with little space?

These threads are posted for people to hear what they want to justify a questionable move they want to make. Right along with the minimum tank size questions.

They are your fish in your tank. Do what you want with them.

I think people measure the success of a tank like this based on if the fish kill each other or not... I don't think that even if they don't kill each other it really makes it a successful tank as far fish keeping goes but hey everyone has opinions, right?

Goes back one of the first things Mo Devlin said to me that really made alot of sense.

"There's a world of a difference between thrive and survive"

Simply having fish not kill each other in an aquarium is not the way to measure long term success. Any combo can technically work as long as the fish kill each other, but what are the long term effects of operating such a system? Especially once they reach maturity.

Totally up to you as lots of folks run tanks like this, but I personally wouldn't. My 2c

well i really don't think ill do it anyways, i wish i could but owell . plus people seem all butthurt just suggesting it . its not like i would let any fish get hurt all i was suggesting is i wanted the fish & wanted to try it out and if it would work ok in my tank . I know how to take care of fish . A 135 may not be a huge tank but it is not a small tank. Was just trying to work with what i have and could afford not everyone could go out and buy a 240 -300 gallon tank plus i don't want a whole bunch of tanks running in my house just wanted a few cichlids in my main display tank.

Hey man, I don't think anyone was jumping on you about it, but if you're working with what you have why not just get a couple of the fish you want and god that way? Plus it'd save you from water quality issues, and probably enjoy seeing the fish swim around less crowded you know.

Talk to the moderator Miguel. He keeps an all male red devil tank. I dont know the size of his tank but all males should be the same size.

All male setups can certainly work. Just some large fish for a 6'x 18" footprint IMO.
