Get rid of the lead weight. I also recently had a bout of ich, and salt and temp did the trick. For skinny disease, I recommend a high protein diet treated with praziquantel gel and garlic. It has worked for me most of the time.

well i put the loaches back in the 150 and left all decor in the 55, drained it and filled it with tap water to circulate. they looked better for a few days then lost one last night and lost my big 5"r night before last. started with 9, lost 4 in the 55, 2 in the 150 and still only see 2 today. the eel, catfish, yoyos and border loach all seem to be doing good. funny thing is, both my spot loached are still alive.

the two recent deaths are likely to be from the stress of the move with the ich they already had. The other ones shouldnt be from iron in the water unless its in really high concentrations. If your worried though definetly use carbon, treat with salt and temp., and if that doesnt work use 1/2 dose of formalin. Fat clowns can handle full dose but sick fish that have been sick for a while might not like it much and increase the oxygen in your tank, it looks like the current in your tank is good but the surface isnt getting agitated that much.

good luck and keep us posted

my clown loaches ALWAYS have ick when I keep them in under 82* water. It doesn't matter how clean I keep my water, its all temperature with the clown loaches IMO. It culled my whole batch of 17 1.5"ers down to 9. The ones I'm left with are going to live ich or not though.

Either quarantine every new fish you get or try to complete treatment course to eliminate the parasites completely.
