he hasnt been eating every day, and dosnt have any tankmates to compete w for food with. he dosnt get very aggressive w his food either... he usually just grabs his shrimp very calmly.

im thinkin of throwing some dithers in just for fun, but then again i dont want to introduce new fish w diseses and getting my leos sick...

just get a bunch of really big balas...LOL.

Everyone has such nice payara (esp the tats!) I cant wait till i get a big enough tank for a full sized one

here my scombs ;) anyway, some of u know why one of them still be vertical?

i took that pic one minute later put them in the tank.. but yesterday one of them was sooooo vertical.. i bought an oxygen pump and now it's ok :D

I wanna grow out some scombs in one of my 55's but they just seem so fragile.

Red tails dont seem as fragile as the scombs, but I like the scombs because of there smaller size.
Who knows, maybe I'll just get a scomb and see if I can keep it alive.

I had no problems growing out my scombs in a 55. They were maybe 2in when I got them and 2-3 months later, they are big enough to put in my big tank with 4 rays and an 11in NGT among 4 other Dats from 5-8in! You just have to power feed them when they're small and do weekly changes and make sure the water is pristine. Its pretty simple really (100 guppies a week and let them pick them off as the so choose to). Don't worry about weaning them off of live foods until they are larger.
