Wow this is an old thread but yeah the fish was stocked in a lake in thailand but the link says that the fish is from south africa. It could be very well be a RtcXtsn but the link was interesting so i posted it. Or maybe there is a Leopard shovelnose in africa. :popcorn:
 
100% rtc x tsn hybrid. I've talked to the owner of the site many times, and he sells guided tours on that lake. The lake is tropical and damed in for the most part. They pimas, rtc, tsn, rtc x tsn, pacu, plus all of their natives, and peacock bass as well. They stock it with whatever fish will be popular to fish for. Here's a pic of my big boy at 38". He's a little skinny in those pics I took last month, but he's just started eating again and has probably packed back on about 5 lbs in the past month. I feed him around 4 lbs of shrimp per week, along with some veggies, and floating cichlid pellets. Enjoy!:headbang2

:ROFL::ROFL:sorry had to get that out of my system. I've told him multiple times to change that on his site. It's a typo about the south africa thing, but that's the name he chose to tell to his clients

the one where the dud on river monsters caugh his monster arapaima. haha its like a 6 acre pond or something stocked with huge fish like the arapaima and other large sports fish
