All Set For The Fourth!

We're only half a mile from the local HS football stadium. Our dogs freak out at every game, because they know it starts with band music and ends with big bangs. They've had a winning season, so lots of fireworks.

LOL!....my big boy just tries to shove himself behind my legs while I am sitting on the couch.

I keep telling you Krich I truly believe your "dog" is a domesticated black bear.

Hah! It's amazing how he can go from one mode to another at the snap of a finger.....with guests and visitors he is a big teddy bear but if a strange person walks past our front yard he's zero to a hundred trying to get at them!

my birds do not care, they have no probs with it. As I said before was looking for a quite night, well did not happen, told the kids we doing nothing, so I was BBQ, a few burgers for dinner and in they walk through the door, so , had break out more burgers, then set up the fire pit out front and suck beer till 11:30 before getting to bed. I was looking for between 7 and 8. oh well. had a good time whether i was looking for it or not.

I did a marinated Black Angus tri-tip and a pork loin roast on the smoker. The tri-tip is history but we're going to eat the pork roast tomorrow at my granddaughter's birthday party.

Since I retired I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain to compliment my propane grill, and I've had a lot more time to perfect my cooking.

I am married to a career teacher and she does not like to cook, so for over 30 years I have been feeding her up.

I have to keep her just fat enough but not too fat you understand . . . It's a delicate balance.

Everyone have a good 4th?

We had a bbq on the 3rd and had friends over. Then saw fireworks. It was pretty awesome, we were so close you could see where they were shooting them off the ground.



On the 4th we had a family day and just relaxed.
Our relaxing evening then got really exciting when my husbands pit went into labor!
She had 10 puppies!
Girls born on the 4th
Little girl born after midnight on the 5th.
Boys born on the 4th.

Mommy and puppies sleeping this morning.

wow. Eventful. 10- that’s a huge litter. They are beauties, including mom. They are always the cutest when they are just starting to walk and they have huge heads and small bodies so they trip over their own feet when they try to run.
