the ac110's arent going to do much at all on a 450.

They might not do much but it's better then nothing.

How big are your boxes of biomax they look larger then normal.

It's double size then the regular box, I think it's the largest amount they sell for biomax.

I think what you are doing is a good combination of mechanical and bio filtration. I use both on my 180 acrylic, 125 and 120 Marineland....

Trust me bro.. ac110s will do alot!!!!
2 ac110s and 2 fx5s will be perfect..
these filters do 500gph which lets not forget is quite a good amount not to mention with 2 fx5s running.
Ac110s make awesome mech filters and awesome bio filters IMO.
i suggest you fill the ac110 with a prefilter and seachem purigen!!!

Overall, you're going to be getting a 2,850 gallon per hour turn over of the water. That's pretty good.

I have never seen a box that's larger then 500grams. Even on ebay. good find
