is it ok to have 4 motoro in 480 gallons tank or do i need a bigger tank?

1. 75% once every 5-6 days
2. 2 motoros male and female around 10"
1 ck 15"
2 florida gars 1-11" 1-14"
1 fire eel 20"
1 tsn 14"

3. 2000 gph wet dry pump.

Half every 3 days.

100 gal tank with 50 gal sump with black lava rock pea gravel limestone seperated by
filter pads. limestone used for buffering.


2. 3" to 4" teacup rays (retics?)

i would take that lava rock out its a bit sharp for rays

you probably right i just read it again it says filter pads to seperate

The lava rock is in the external filter, 55 gallon drum not in the tank. The tank is bare bottom.

By the way this is not my first time of keeping rays so I'm not a noob. Raised
motoros before had to sell out due personal reasons.

What is your water change schedule?

1. how much do you change a week?
2. What size is your tank.
3. What kind of rays do you have in the tank? (plus amount)
4. What are the ray's sizes?

1-take around 20% every 2-3 days, every other if time permits
2-75g grow out, waiting to move 4 pacu's to a pool
3-2 retics
4-males maybe 6", the female 4". the larger of the two is a female

480 what's the footprint... you could keep them in there for awhile but not for life....

If it's a standard 480, 96 x 48 x 24, 4 motoros are fine in there for life. If it's taller and more narrow, then I agree, probably not big enough for life.
