this is sooooo hard for me to answer because i listen to absolutley everything from luciano paveratti to metallica to jamiraquai to brad pasley to TI to whatever.
to me music is what drives the soul. I just listen to whatever it is that it needs.

If i had to narrow it down to one song....I just cant!
 
ooohhh i have many all relating to different people and important times in my life
leann rhimes (dont no how u spell her name) how do i live with out - for when my grandad passed away (my gran used to sing it and cry)
bette midler - wind beneath my wings, from when my dad died and my mum used to sing it to me.
enya - wild child, from my best mates funeral
robbie williams - angels, from my other beast mates funeral

and last but not least....candii statton - you got the love because its my lil girls dads and my 'our' song lol

Thats terrible i just wouldnt know what id do if i lost my little brother.....

This is my fave song, such a mellow track, helps me calm down and when im down think of better times.

There have been times where ive started crying for no reason just listening to this track

here is one I played and sat listening with my Dad.He passed away about 3 months later.We both play music and he introduced me to Peter Gabriels music when I was young.After he heard this song we just sat their for awhile,he never said anything.I never asked.That was odd,all the days leading up to his crash were odd actualy,a strange stillness and worries and anxieties in his life seemed to vanish and he became very humble suddenly.Then the crash took him.Anyways,here is that song.The vid shows Peter with his dad and child.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtGymzkB_cc&feature=related
