I don't like the way we hunt and kill these animals how do we expect to see a 24ft one if we kill them before they get a chance to grow to that size i think they should be protected and if they are in danger then maybe all those people who have one that is far too big for their tank should take them back to their natural habitat!

:screwy:

Why was this copy and pasted with no credit? For fun? http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/predatory/alligatorgar.php# If I wanted BS information, I would not be a member here..........Internet research is for idiots......Libraries have some good stuff I hear though?

It was better actually to not source it or give any "credit" to the stinking plagiarizer that wrote this GARbage.. He sure does not credit anyone he steals from. Also it is better to just let this GARbage rot in the bowels of the Internet and not bring any further attention to it.

I guess it was just some general info on gator gars? I read it and enjoyed it. Some info was incorrect, but some was true.

Anyways, in before the lock! :)

Hi, alligator gars are among the worlds largests freshwater fishes, they must be protected, and not brought to extinction!

I went to the Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco (Academy of Science). They have HUGEEEE ones. I was fortunate to take a few pics. No flash was allowed so sorry about that.

this thread just needs to die...mods...any way it can be removed or at least locked? the information found in the initial posting is partially plagiarized and the rest is inaccurate. there's no need for it to keep surfacing. thanks--
