Good Afternoon,

Was wondering if anyone could help me out here.

I have an Alligator Gar at 4". Before anyone asks l have him in a 2000 ltr tank.

I have noticed something strange developing from the tip of his mouth on the left and right hand side. It looks like skin but to be honest l don't have a clue what it is. I'm very experienced with fish but this is the first time l have seen something like this.

Hopefully someone has any knowledge of this and your help is much appreciated.

He has no problems at all, eats very well and perfectly healthy.

Its the best pictures l can get of him.

Many Thanks

Scott

That's not an alligator gar but a hujeta gar. Those are flaps. They have them normally.
