Alligator Gar Size

I've seen 6 foot Longnosed and then we measured them and they where 4 foot..

I have read many posts here saying gator gar can get to over 5 feet in a home aquarium, but I have never seen gator gar that big in a home aquarium myself. Just interested in what the biggest gator gar you guys have ever kept in a tank environment is.

Mine is about 36"-37" now. He was measured at 36" when caught in September 2009. Mine has been a very slow grower.

I think growing a size of a fish to a good size is interesting but actually owning a fish for a reasonable period of time is perhaps equally just as rewarding.
