alligator gars

i dont know how big they get but i catch two feet alligator gars on the daily basis at this on fishing spot how much do they sell for if they have been acclimated? i caught 1 over three feet one time am i inccorect or is this a different fish

Don't they get like 6 feet long? Maybe even more?

Try using bigger bait, and you might catch bigger fish Will.

lol my dad caught one about 5 1/2 feet long so he says on 40lb test so i think he full of it but yeah ive heard they get bigger than 10 ft if feed well and man they are strong fish!!! seriously

Where are you catching them??? what state??

I eat them.. Gar is actually quite good and is very overlooked as a food fish.

Very cool looking fish. The first time I saw a picture I thought somebody photoshopped it. I was like no way those exist. Scary as hell swimm'n and looking over a few feet to see one of those. Does anyone know where they originate? I mean, arn't they exotic?

They are Native to the South central U.S. and Northern Mexico.

i knowq there exotic but some idiot introduced them to usa now there everywhen...hard to catch decent catfish nowadays...
