Alligator lizards! ughh!

Yesterday i got so freaked out while changing the water in my 10g. When the bucket i used to hold the siphoned water was full i went to my patio to dump the water when i noticed something long and skinny! i freaked out and ran then turned around to see what it was. it was a huge alligator lizard! these lizards are the scariest looking lizards. they almost look like snakes. every time i see one i use my airsoft gun or a shovel to kill them. this time i let this one go. i live in a new housing area by a levy(kinda like a river) and there are tons of snakes and lizards there. alligator lizards gives me the chills while the fence lizards that always bask on my fence dont bother me and i try to catch them sometimes. who likes alligator lizards?

you do? do you catch them? im sure there are some around you cause you are in california :D
 
yeah, ive caught them. They are beasts, especially when they try to bite you. :) Don't be hatin the gator lizards

when my dad and i was doing yard work at my house he found one under a pile of logs and it was a feisty little critter. its mouth was opened wide and it charged at my dad once. my dad just dropped it behind the fence because he is a animal lover :).
 
i had a couple they are awesome I really like them
 
Please dont kill them, aligator lizards are no more dangerous then a guinea pig and to treat them like that is no excuse just because they look creepy. Shame that Im not in there, here I do alot of education with our local mourish geckos wich most people think they are poisonous when in reality they are completly harmless, and when I show them and talk about them most people at least start looking at them with other eyes and some even venture to touch or even hold one. Aligator lizard exist for a reason, even snakes including venomous ones should not be killed, there is allways alternatives. For ali lizards all you have to do is conquer your fear, they are no diferent then any other lizard and I do like them:D
 
oh come on i don't even kill spiders why would anyone ever kill a lizard? that creeps me out. it's another living creature it hasen't done anything wrong to you or it's environment which can hardly be said for you or any other human being
