Almond Leaf

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry about that, I was at work and supposed to be working!!
Thanks for the link, the ph is now below 7.5. Contacting the water authority in Bangkok and asking for information about water they supply would be impossible. I use White Crain anti-clori and age the tap water for at least 2 days. I also do 50% water changes every 2 weeks.

Hay, we're, not hijacking, just expanding and exploring! Lupin is telling you yes.
Koji would (i think) agree because he uses it. others would say no, I'm middle of the road, if it doesn't kill my Clown loaches and helps then I'd use it for my fish as a spa once a month maybe.
I used to use it for bettas all the time.

I have used PEAT to get the black water effect. It's the same as leaves just easier to deal with and can be ordered online as pellet. If you use enough of it you can get a tea like color. Plants go crazy in my tank when I use it. So long as I keep the stuff fresh enough everyone loves it. Grew desert plate size discus with it.

yeah that's the same thing ketapang leaves. it says you have to put the leaf in 10-15 gal of water for 1 week. so basically, before doing a wc, you need to have your black water ready. isnt there a faster way apart from using leaves? like some kind of solution reproducing the same benefits?

i use Almond Leaf in my tank.. just recently tho... I usually put in black water when I do my water change, but now I just have a few Almond Leaf in my sump and my fishs seem to be pretty happy..
