No **** sherlock, that's why I wanted the leaves so bad!!! I'm on a well, ph is out of control but the fish thrive! I'm lowering it with r/o water mixed and HAULED and the leaves are helping. My well water is so hard, glacial meltoff........yours will be on the way if you answer your pmHiGhTiMeZ;488671; said:mei u have 8.4 ph on ur aro tank? thats a lil too high i think

Yeah, the water on the eastern side of the state of Washington blows chunks dam near literally...kriztu;488930; said:agree, too alkaline....
Miles;489035; said:I have used Almond Leaves to import soft-water fish, and yes they can be very effective.
Depending on your alkalinity however, their effects won't last very long and the pH will raise back up.. These shifts in pH could end up causing more stress than benefit in the long run, and make it more difficult to do large frequent water changes due to parameter shifts..
I would say they are best used for inducing spawning in soft-water fish, and acclimating soft-water fish to harder waters.
