Almond Tree Leaves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I put a few dry leaves in my tank and my fish will not leave them. No pun intended! My clown Loaches are all 3 sitting on one of the leaves, my water is clear but turning amber, I remember the clarity of water got better with the tanin last time I had them.

its ok if it turns quite amber....remember what happens to your hot water after dropping in a tea bag? same thing

koji, have you got a pic of how dark you make your water?

Can look into my link I provided here. Water is dark tea like.

My tank is all tricked out with the black, now the plecos are sucking on the leaves like crazy, the loaches come out in the light and dont mind and my metallic gold fish is darkening nice. I love it. The water became clearer after the tanin was released. I know, I know I'm working on it.

OK so let me get this straight...
The water in your tank is as dark as the water in this barrel?
And that is not too strong of concentration?

Nope. Infact the concentration will get thicker as time goes by. What you're seeing is just after I top half the barrel with freshwater.

LOLOL

I put a few leaves in a batch of brownies, they kinda taste like dirt
and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Ya know. now that I think of it, I don't have any visible parasites either...
Bacterial or Fungal, cool!

The weird thing is, when I take a bath...
I have this really bad urge to jump...

you know what I think of them...I hooked you up with your first batch of "Indian Almond" leaves.
Same stuff they make "Catappa extract" with...:cool-1:

LOL ARE YOU SURE IT WAS Almond leaves you ate LOL
