If you don't have a job by now, it doubtful that you will get a job, get a paycheck (this part can take a few weeks), and have "alot" saved up. That's about 15 days away. I admire your tenacity, but realistically that process can take a little longer than 2 weeks.

Also, you have better uses for your money than a new canister filter. Neither an FX5 or an Eheim should be at the top of your priorities list.

I turn 23 on the 20th of Nov. LBF, save your money, keep a paying job, move out, eat well and you'll be good to go. Your filter is fine and theres really no reason to waste your money on a new one when yours works.

My 21st involved NYC, top shelf alcohol, women with loose morals, and a fair amount of substance abuse haha. That was almost a year ago and I find not much has changed
