Almost made a HUGE mistake

Today I went to my lfs and what do I see??? A tank full of little Stergeon. 20 bucks a piece. I was just about to get one and something told me not to. I didn't buy it but instead came home and read all this bad stuff about them... First off, of all the pics I have looked at today, the best resemblence is an Atlantic Stergeon which reaches 12 feet! Also read they need to constantly swim like sharks to get proper amounts of air. I was planning on putting it in a 125g then into my indoor pond but ALL posts say too big for any1 to have so I'm pleased with my decision.:nilly:
 
Good decision. Too bad more people don't do a little research before making that impulse buy. It's not just a fish.
 
gut feelings always are right no matter how many times you left the aisle with the sturges and then came back and kept looking @ them and left then came back again..We all do it..
 
pssh, I would of been the one to buy it knowing it gets huge, then get home and look at it in the tank and say OOOOOH ****:eek:, what did I just do...:nilly:

It was probably a sterlet... Get to about 3 feet. Still, not aquarium fish though.
