nice fish im thinking of going back to cichla now that ive gotten some larger tanks for growouts and plan on getting a 400 g
what size tank you have him in?

Change the gravel to a darker color :)

And feed him some cichlids :)

thanks guys. to your questions, he doesnt splash alot of water out, he just spits it out alot, say he'll go to a corner and spit water all down my walls, or he'll get in a *****y mood and splash all over my tv and such. hes in a custom wood tank, 48"L x 24"D x 16"H

Tongue, feed him cichlids with help give him color? that would be too expensive. he eats 100+ feeders a week. wont eat anything dead, tried it tons of times.
