i just checked out this link and a few others....even if i manage to get another one of these fishes its rele rele difficult to keep it alive unless i have a pond!! i have a huge tank but the feeding habbits are strange...larve and fish eggs..
for a fish this big how am i gonna get that food daily...
so idea dropped,me not getting another one of these unless someone here who has this fish can tell me abt it,is there?

Dam thats too bad, how big is your tank anyway, looks to me like a siberian sturgeon they get real big i have 2 both about 3ft but my mate has one at 6ft. It might have died due temperature they seem to keel over at over 20 degrees not that its much help now :(

it was 150 gallons....and yes it was a siberian sturgeon :(

its arnd 30 deg C here in china....so yeah i guess it died of higher temp

Yeah there not to difficult to feed if you ever wanted to try again they love shrimp, snails and its good practice to feed regularly with protein pellets as if they dont get enough protein the digest their own liver.

They require high o2 levels at higher temps, but ive had two both kept tropical with no problems.... 150g is no where near closer a good size for a sturgeon of any kind thou.....

You should research about these guys coz they can grow really big, you will eventually need a big pool for this guy. And they need cold water.
Sturgeons are also well known for thier "caviar"
