Nice picts!! Cool to see that you caught a bunch of the same fish I did (suribim cat, jacunda, piranha, etc). I also see alot of the "Paca" species of peacock rather than the temensis/"3 Bar" in my avatar. We found that, pound for pound, the "pacas" fought HARDER than the temensis or the butterfly.

Depending upon the time of year and the water you are fishing, it can be EXCELLENT. When I was in Brazil in October 2006, there were nine fisherpeople (2 women on the trip!!) and the camp caught OVER 1,000 FISH in 7 days -- NO JOKE!!!

The fishing is awesome, but beyond the fishing, the experience of being there, days away ( we really were very far, very deep inside, our mixed portuguese -brazilian group ) from anywhere is of mythical proportions, imo..

been all over, but nothing compares....
