Alternative to glass bottom

ummmmm
i did a DYI tank
had a similar problem more a worry then anything
so what i did was a sheet of plywood 1/2"
and laid the glass over it
fit my walls around it and did a nice cabinet laid the tank on it and used 1X2 and trimed the top of the cabinet around the bottom of the tank
worked out great for me
