Well i just picked up three of these little buggers to put in my 20 galon tank. Mine are not even half an inch but they are so awesome...it's amazing the personality you see in them even though they are still babies. This is the bigger version of what they look like , i'll post the real picks of them when i get a chance. What you guys think? The pic is of a white one ...i have two whites and one black they're too cute

These are cool fish. I used to keep and breed these years back. Yours are just babies at 1/2 inch. The only drawback is that they are the sloooow growing fish. Good luck with them

I just got 2 gold comps and 2 black calvus myself for my 30 long. Hope they reach a decent size by the end of the yr to go in my 75 Tangy tank. Might have to order some red comps for a nice color variation.

Mine are on sprulina flakes and pellets right now. What ya feeding yours?

awesome pick up, those guys are hard to find around here =( Anywho slow growers but awesome to watch and look really cool when they get bigger, cant wait for pics of yours!

I would stop feeding the sprulina flakes. Comps and calvus are carnivores not omnivores.
Mine (the ones I'm getting Friday) are eating brine shrimp.
