Hi, I’m looking forward to have a planted aquarium with

6-8 Altum Angelfish

18-22 Congo Tetras

25-30 Rummynose Tetras

10 Cherry Barbs

10-12 Sterbai Corydoras

10-12 Adolfoi Corydoras

12-14 Pygmy Corydoras

10-12 Emperor Tetras

12 Otocinculus

1 Clown Pleco

1 Bristlenose Pleco

1 L134 Pleco

1 L168 Pleco

20 Nerite Snails

1 Pagoda Snail

1 Blueberry snail

2 Rabbit Snails

40 Sun Orange Amano Shrimp

2 Bamboo Shrimp

Planted with sand

I want the Angels and tetras to be comfortable and I don’t know the best size so which ones would be best to house them, a 220,240,250,300,320,340 Gallon Tank and if could I add anything else with them. And is a sponge filter good or what would be the best filter too. Thank you

The key with altums, due to their "tallness" is the vertical height of the tank. 24" tall tank minimum, but they look best in 30" tall or bigger tanks, which also happen to be a pain to maintenance & aquascape, and keep plants well in d/t the depth penetration needed by lights to reach the substrate.
Sponge filters do a great job, but IMO they are unsightly and will detract from the display aspect of these majestic fish.
Search "Shoreline Aquatics" on youtube for loads of great vidoes & info from a bloke who has mastered the art of keeping & breeding altums in the US.
