Altum Biotope

Hi all

Managed to get my hands on a pair of F1 Altums, these two look like they're ready to go, I've set up a blackwater Biotope for them just now, will see what happens.

I already really love this set-up, done on the cheap.

They are absolutely beautiful, they were in with fin nippers so I'm hoping for some improvements

Looks great. Any aggression between them? Looks like a relatively small tank, might be wise to add some tetras or the like to distract them from each other a bit. Might not be necessary depending how well bonded they are, but If the male did get rowdy there would be nowhere to run. Just a thought

No aggression, made 99% sure I got a pair, and haven't seen any bickering. Watching it closely though, avoiding any tankmates in case I do get eggs soon. Definitely not the biggest footprint, but doable I feel for now

Sometimes simple is best, nice fish in a natural setting, hopefully you will have a bunch of eggs soon.
