Always Question A Free Tank

Wow, were you mad? That must have been terrible, your wife must have been going crazy trying to stop the tank from leaking. Sorry that happened. I had a canister that leakes and flooded my carpet. I could not get it to stop. BAD experience.

well at the very least it was nice of him to offer it for free. often free means it needs work, lots of time and patience and in the end it will be a nice tank. i always take free tanks and do the needed repairs its a hobby for me so im never in a rush to get them up and full of water.

IMO, just seems as though 48 hours might have been a little quick to fill it with water. I would probably have let it sit for a week at least. Silicone doesn't dry all that fast, especially if it is thick and inside of seams.

exactly 48hrs is not enough time to allow silicone to dry throughly.
