I went down to the beach for a week and left my tank keeping to my mother who also enjoys my fish tank, well something went horribly wrong while I was away and most of my fish died. Well my older brother was also home, who is an electrical engineer. Well he thought it would just be best to turn off my filters, lights, and drain as much water as they could out of the tank. And NOT tell me they did the latter.
My mothers excuse was "Your brother went to Hopkins and he is an engineer!". Yes, true, but I go to school for marine biology/pre-med and all he deals with is math.
Only survivor? My sail fin pleco. Luckily, I had not gotten my fire eel yet or I would have thrown a fit.
The victims were 3 Red-Top Zebra's and two electric yellows.
When I came home there was only 6 inches of water in my 75 gallon tank, with no filtration and light I can't believe my pleco survived for 4 days! He is one tough sucker!
