A spare 29 would be great for a krib "colony". Some simple plants could give the older young a place to hide during spawning time.

If feeders are your plan this may work in your favor. imho what your doing isn't even close to puppy-mill type care. Now leaving the fish in the tank indeffinately so they can inbreed with their siblings ect is... after a few generations you'll see mutations from all the inbreeding. That is akin to puppy mills..
