Okay I've wanted piranhas along time but unfortunately due to me living in mass i can not have them which makes no sense considering I can drive 20 minutes to New Hampshire where piranhas are legal which is total BS but that's not the point after looking at everything according to this list right here you are not allowed any species of pygocentrus or serrasalmus..

So considering what that list shows that would mean that pygopristis denticulata would be legal in massachusetts correct ?

I don't want to do anything illegal I want to own my fish legally so I thought this was a possible way to do it I don't want anything illegal I obey the rules that are set and don't plan on breaking them its not worth it to me not for a fish

I see it says piranhas and related species but the makes no sense considering pacu and silver dollars are in the piranha family and you can own them so that info isn't very helpful if you look at the list I provide it is specific about pygocentrus and serrasalmus which in my opinion would make pygopristis legal since the are different then the 2 names listed above

I feel sorry for you guys that can't keep the fish you want, although I understand the problems others have caused with some species, like snakeheads.

Sounds like you should start a petition. My 2 cents.

Believe me I if I lived in Florida or some southern state like that I completely understand not allowing piranha and have absolutely no problem with it but when I can drive 20 minutes and its legal thats not right it's the same climate absolutely nothing is different and some water ways in nh connect into ma which means if some idiot there ever let piranha go in the summer they could swim right down the water way into ma so what good is a ban when a fish could swim into ma in about an hour that's why I have such a problem with it and don't think it's right
