So the experiment has begun and so far so good. The Largest of my Hybrid Texas cichlids has seemly paired up with the higher grade flowerhorn I recently purchased. There have been a few pats for territoriality area but nothing major and not real injuries to report. I have noticed that the blood parrots have become more aggressive after I added the smaller texas cichlids to the mix. I still plan on getting rid of my Oscar and would like to add another hybrid type to the tank. Any suggestions?

Just a few updates on my tank.

No one has died yet ... lol.

It appears that the Texas and The Flowerhorn i had recently bought are pairing up. They both fight off the oscar from a certain area in the tank. The Flowerhorn has even begun moving rocks.

The smaller Texas's are holding their own and now are feeding on Massavore sinking pellets. Everyone else in the tank is feeding on Sumo red and frozen bloodworms.

Quick update ... added a few common crayfish to see what would happen over the past weekend and as of today one remains alive. Other then that injuries just alot of chasing going on. I plan to add some lava rock to the tank very soon an thoughts on that?

careful with lavarock, it tends to be sharp. with all that chasing going on, i would hate to see those beautiful fish all scratched up...

hey, eventually you can take a couple of my Venustus x Peacock hybrids! lol, jk (unless you really do want them, lol)
