I always do 100% water changes. I've never had any problems with fish dying or appearing unhealthy besides one bala shark that died due to a water change. Does anyone else do this?

several people do huge water changes. i myself do only 50% every week. if parameters of the new water matches the old and its treated, then there should be no ill effects...

I usually do small water changes (20%) every week or two, due to a situation where I lost alot of fish doing a huge 70% every week. I am 95% sure it was because of the drastic shift in their water. However, I know many members who do giant changes with no problems at all.

I usually do 50% a week but when my tank was heavily stocked i'd do 50% twice a week.

How often do you do these changes? What do you do with the fish? It is unneccessary to do this, and just because your fish aren't dying, it doesn't mean you aren't stressing them out.

I try to do them every week to week and a half. I put the tank water in a huge rubbermaid container and put the fish in it with airation. They act totally normal and will eat about 5 minutes after I put them back in the tank. I think I do it often enough that my perameters don't jump or drop too much for them to handle.
