Mrquad is doing fine with daily. This is what I would do for juvenile discus especially when you are talking about 6 feedings a day. These fish require more attention than anything else.

thank you very much, atleast i am at ease.. hopefully i am successful in raising them..

in my opinion i think thats taking out too much bacteria and also i may do more frequent water changes depending on tank size, just my opinion now calm down

thank you for your response sir.. atleast, i know what you mean..

Driftwoods are fine. They aren't necessary but could provide a refuge for the fish. Yes, the tank has to be barebottom. The main purpose for such action is to allow you to vacuum every wastes and food leftover that may be amissed thus fouling the water.

thank you again to you sir.. appreciated it very much.. please, if i miss something in taking care the discus, please post it here.. :D

Most of the bacteria colonize the filter media. I do not see the problem with daily water changes. I was merely stating out that weekly water changes is far from being appropriate when it comes to extraordinary feeding intervals especially involving juvenile discus.

lol i'm going to end the post war with you "IN MY OPINION" it varies from tank size i know bacteria colonize the filter media, and it also colonizes in gravel etc, it depends to me on the food being feed, i wouldn't do 25% water changes daily for any juvie fish maybe cats lol i'll change my water daily if i had juvies growing out in a 125g but i wouldn't do it because it would be hard for the fish to look for food i rather have a 60g bare bottom JUST MY OPINION
