That's one thing I got atracted to this fish. His carnivore action, but I'm worried about his nutrition, and cause small fishes is kinda hard to buy everyweek.

my aro is about like 3 to 4 inches and it only eats guppies i tried krill and flakes but no luck is it to young for me to try to starve it??? and the egg sack is almost gone.

starve it. it can hold easily for a week. try hikari arowana stick. what u can do is to feed the feeders first and giv it to ur aro. feed it like 3-4 for times a day at regular interval but only small quantity rather than feeding it fully onece or twice. its better. and if u cwant to builk him up, give it some frogs.

He's eating well, but only live foods.
Small tilapias, guppies, platis and small insects like tenebrio molitor, zophobus morio.
He really loves the insects, but I'm reaaly worried about nutrition facts.
what do you think aros eat in the wild?
pellets?
:ROFL::ROFL:
just messin with ya :D

my aro has been raised on minnows and small fish and raw de shelled market shrimp and at over 2 feet long seems ok on that diet
:D

Patience, patience, patience. It's expensive now. I have the same problem with one of my ck's. I tried silversides, dropping them in front of them worked well. They have a strong smell to them, so I guess that's why it worked for me. Keep us updated!
