Am I insane?

Electric cat! JK unless you want fights and deaths. Girrafe catfish are cool, and are good cat's too, just they stay on the bottom a lot.

As much as ive looked at wolfish, in the end I think it would turn out disastrous. I have cories

SO Red Scissortails and maybe 1 pictus cat? I really want the red scissortails. Would love an active, medium sized cat too. Something peaceful around..6''?

Any ideas?

THANKS :D

asian bumblebee, spotted pictus, parancistrus nudiventris, Leporacanthicus joselimai, spotted raphael... those would all be good choices.

edit- yay, 1000 posts! :D

Really cool and grow to around 3ft realllllly quick when housed and fed properly. From my exp. they are actually quite active. Even 30''+ g.cats in my charge active swim all over their tanks.

I would consider a giraffe cat and then sell it..but I dunno..

Any more ideas on active cats?

Any ideas on peaceful oddballs too???

ime Cories and "catfish" don't mix great =/ raphaels should be okay to mix. or a Banjo cat if you can find one. they are a neat oddball cat that stays small. they do have a large mouth for their size so may end up eating the cories. also a large array of Loaches/Botias out there to look into. I'm also very fond of my asian bumble bee cats, i would think they would be okay to mix with cories. sun or eclipse cats are nice but I would guess they would predate your cories eventually. I know mine is very much a catfish and if anything isn't 2x the size of his mouth at least.. It ends up dinner. Some of the smaller spiney eels are also rather interesting fish, odd but not rare, unless you get inot the african rift lake species. And are quite peaceful with other species. I keep my striped peacock eels with guppies.. other then picking off the occasional fry they are very mild mannered. Elephant nose also come to mind as a peaceful oddball. and many of the other Moriyde(sp? I know i botched it) species.

yeah..They cories are survivors..they dont get eaten for some reason..ive had them with a TT eel a very large sen..nd every one is left alone..

I have been looking at frail gouramis and they look.. AMAZING.. :D If I ever see one for sale I am going to have to buy it lol

Ive also been considering swordtails..

swordtails are colorful and bouncy. personally I like a 3/1 or 4/1 ratio f/M in a 72 plant or decor heavy.. start out with that .. and your tank will soon be full of color and activity. think i'm now at my 10th gen of guppies?.. every now and then i cull my males out 'n add new ones from the LFS or a local breeder. keeps the genes sharp so I odn't have issues from inbreeding 'n also gives me a chance to play with colors. alot of people talk badly about livebearers but I still enjoy mine. paricularly playing with colors and genetics from breeding as they breed quick, and you can see results fairly fast unlike some other species that take years to mature and finally spawn.. then let those fry mature...

Been looking at koi and shanshoku swordtails.. exspensive but seriously amazing looking...

eh, i dont really like swordtails... Not a very "fun" fish if you know what i mean. They just swim around, dont really have personality...

For active cats- spotted pictus
for other cats- see my last post in this topic.

For peaceful oddballs- Butterfly fish

true..I think tommorow ill bring all the fish im selling to an lfs..Couldnt be bothered doing it any other way :D

Ive been considering apistos..anyone else got opinions on this??

Saw some really niceones last week..
