Neon Tetra x 16
Silver Dollar x 5
Sunset Platy x 4

Setup 60 Gallon with Penguin 330 HOB and a DIY 20 gallon wet/dry with 2 gallons of bio balls. I plan to upgrade as needed for the CL's, but I would also like to add a few more to the shoal without overloading the system. How long will it take the CL's to out grow the 60 gallon, and how many more do you think I could add without being over stocked?

In my opinion I don't think you very overstocked right now, but the silver dollars and clown loaches( I think they grow slowing) will get bigger. I wouldn't add any more fishes either until you upgrade. Hope this helps.

Thanks... I hope to upgrade in about a year. I know CL's and Silver Dollars can get pretty big, but I'm not sure how quickly they will grow.

Silver dollars grow fairly quickly, but clowns are very slow growers. I would agree not to add any until you upgrade, but you will be fine for the next year.

you sound fine now but upgrade is a must in the future. i would say to a 125g or so. silver dollars will also eat the neon possily at a certain size.

Your fine for now, the loaches grow fairly large and will need a bigger tank but this takes a very long time. I wouldnt add any more to the shoal till you upgrade. The siver dollars grow faster but will be fine in the 60g, just watch that they don't eat the neons when they get bigger.
