Am I OverStocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
neons=spendy feeders

i like the thoughts of a 2 shoal tank.......silvers over CL's sounds awesome.

throw a rocket gar in to cover the top and you are done........but you wont have any neone tetras left, then again, they dont last long in my gouraami tank(all small/mini/dwarf)

The more the merrier! You could get more. You got enough bio capacity. Only if you are positive you're upgrading.

how were they petsmart rescues if you don't mind me asking?

They were pickups from Petsmart. They had parasites pretty bad when I got them, but after multiple treatments of PraziPro they seem to be parasite free. They've bulked up and are much more colorful. I didn't realize loaches can have so many issues with parasites when I got them.:eek: But luckily I've learned alot from everyones posts.

I was thinking about picking up a few more (1 month later) but all of the remaining loaches have pretty severe knifeback. From what I've learned on this forum, it is pretty difficult to treat once it becomes severe. So I decided to pass.

I may pickup a couple more if I find an oddball or two. Otherwise they seem quite happy as is. There is alot more activity since I added the Silvers. The loaches really enjoy stirring things up with these guys. Nothing aggressive, just a friendly wisker rub or two.

I'm sure I will be upgrading... it may be as early as this spring. Depends on when we find a house to buy and what kind of deals I can find on a new tank.

wow i think ur tank is beautiful, and with the good filtration you have on it u shud b fine

.

good job treating them...some parasites are a pain in the rear to eliminate (camallanus for example, I hate it ever so much)
