Am I overstocked?

5 gallons should be no big deal. honestly, just make one or put it somewhere else. if not, shop around craigslist for a cheap pick up. you are not overstocked, in my opinion.

Yeah, but if I add a 10 gallon, I'd have 15 gallons
 
I have a 5.5 gallon tank with 2 african side neck turtles in, theyre about 4 inch long. large water change weekly with a huge external on the back :D should be fine if you have good filteration and w/c often
